Ever since I was little I have loved two things, crafts and animals. In high school I spent every free second I had in the art room. I had the same art teacher from middle school until I graduated in high school and became intrigued by the art she created. Painting came easy to me, and seeing the art and life my art teacher created for herself made me want that for myself. I wanted to make my talent as strong as I possibly could, so the art room was where I lived in high school. It became my safe spot where I was able to relax and just enjoy myself and what I was doing. I found myself painting a lot of people in high school until I decided to challenge myself with some double exposure paintings. I grew to love the double exposure paintings and continued doing them when I wasn’t working on a commission or paintings for a show. Since high school, I have been studying for my real estate exam and taking classes at West Chester University! I continued painting the double exposure paintings, but also decided on moving to animals since they are something I am passionate about. Now, I specialize in double exposure, animals, and portrait paintings.
My charity is the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital in Surf City, NC where they rescue all turtles in hopes of being able to release them back into their natural environment. They also specialize in preserving sea turtle nests and educate the public on these beautiful creatures. I want to donate to this charity because I have been an animal lover my whole life and find it important to make sure we do whatever we can to help preserve the animals that are endangered. Once animals are extinct we cannot bring them back!
