Ron Handler has a serious passion for creating art! He began welding and woodcarving in the beginning of the 1960’s, then added several other mediums including ceramics, stained glass, mixed media, furniture building, painting, and perhaps his most favorite of all, doodling! Give him a napkin or any old scrap of paper and you’ll see the most amazing doodle ever. Ron will always love art and create art. He says “Art is what keeps me alive. That and chocolate donuts.”
Ron’s charity of choice is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, whose mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research. This foundation is extremely important to Ron, who unfortunately lost his daughter Cooky in 2012 to breast cancer at age 56. Ron says, “She was an outstanding person and artist, and I will be making my donations in her memory.”
Cause of the Quarter is a foundation that is
